Accumulation/Distribution

Accumulation/Distribution is a technical indicator that measures whether money is flowing into or out of a stock. It combines price movement with trading volume to show if big investors are quietly buying up shares (accumulation) or selling them off (distribution). You'll see this on stock charts alongside price data, and traders watch it because it can signal a price move before it actually happens—kind of like spotting a crowd gathering before the concert starts. For example, if a stock's price stays flat but the Accumulation/Distribution line is climbing, it might mean smart money is loading up, suggesting a rally could be coming. It's one clue among many, not a crystal ball.
