52-week High

The 52-week high is the highest price a stock has traded at over the past year. You'll see this number quoted alongside the current price on most stock charts and financial websites—it's one of the first things traders look at to understand where a stock stands relative to its recent performance. A stock trading near its 52-week high might signal strong momentum, while one far below it could suggest weakness or a buying opportunity, depending on what caused the drop. For example, if TechCorp's 52-week high is $85 but it's currently trading at $60, that tells you the stock has fallen significantly from its peak.
